Freedom’s Watch?

Thursday, August 23

This week an organization called Freedom's Watch began airing a series of TV ads about the Iraq war. The ads urge people to call their members of Congress about the war. But what happens when you call their number?

The Freedom's Watch ads continue the Bush Administration's efforts to link Iraq and 9/11, to accuse war opponents of supporting "surrender," and to suppress any dissenting voices.

That's not surprising, considering Freedom's Watch is essentially a White House front group. The organization was founded and funded by former Bush Administration officials like Ari Fleischer, President Bush's former press secretary; Bradley Blakeman, a former member of Bush's senior staff; and Sheldon Adelson, the third-richest man in America who has given hundreds of thousands of dollars to Republican campaigns and PACs.

Get around the Freedom's Watch filter and call (202) 224-3121 for a direct line to Congress. Tell them what the American people really think about the Iraq war.

This is a great response to FW’s call to all wingnuts who still drink the BushCO Koolaid. Thanks for making it!

In addition to calling our Senators and Reps, why don’t you suggest to your email recipients they call “Freedom Watch” and jam up their phone lines to tell them they are wrong?
I just called “Freedom Watch” 3 times and said, “How much are they paying you to support the slaughter of Iraqi children?” at which they hung up.

You will not have the guts to post this on your blog, but here goes:

Having served in the Gulf region twice now, I can tell you that:

a) you are wrong
b) my fellow marines despise you
c) surrender is not an option
d) America will be in greater danger with you getting your way
e) My Iraqi friends beg us not to leave, until they are ready
f) If we leave Iraq now, Iran sponsored terrorists will take over Iraq, creating a creater instability in the region, and finally
g) create a homebase for terrorists to come attack us, because we have proven to be weak

If you get your way, American blood will be on your hands.
