I heard an ad on the radio exhorting me to express my support for the new healthcare bill. I wonder if anyone could tell me which article/s they like most about the bill. Please include the page number as I understand it is rather lengthy.

Stop calling me!!! When I call the number you suggest I can’t get through to anyone or I get a busy signal. I DO NOT WANT your government controlled health care. The insurance companies aren’t the only ones to blame. How about the Pharmaceutical companies that charge way too much. Have you seen the prices of name brand cold medicine. Or how about the trial lawyers? Every other commercial on TV is a lawyer telling me how much money I can get if I sue someone for a so called “bad” drug. With God’s help I can take care of myself. I don’t need the government telling me what is good for me!!! Get over yourselves. Sincerely, Terri

We were told that it is lawful to make buying car insurance mandatory because driving is a “privilege” and not a “right”. Now we are faced with a healthcare reform bill which will allegedly make it mandatory to buy health insurance because healthcare is a “right” not a “privilege”. How does that make any sense?

How ironic….Americans united for change and you want NO CHANGE. How about some empathy for the Americans not as fortunate as you.

How smug of you. You just made a phone call to my home in which neither your name or number came up on our caller ID. Then you ripped into our congressman for voting against the health care bill and urged us to call him. Well, you know what?  I am going to contact him to THANK HIM for trying to stop this trainwreck of a health care bill!

Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías is loving you and your organization!
I’m a VET and we are against you! Your organization is dedicated to fasciitis and communists! I’m sure Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías is sending a few pesos your way.  You are trying to damage and destroy our constitution! Hey Tom McMahon, Caren Benjamin, Jeremy Funk and Lauren Weiner, how do you sleep at night? How can you look yourselves in the mirror every morning? You are all pieces of garbage! Stop running your adds and wasting your supporters money!

socialist - that is what “americans united for change” is. How blind are you.  You get behind people like Obama and Nancy P. that could care less about the average american, they just want power.  Believe me, you will regret your stupidity in voting for these people.  Probelm is, all of America will pay for your ignorance

“Americans United reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to remove or refuse to post blog comments?” (noted at the bottom of your website) Hmmm… you must have removed all of your comments in support of your beloved socialism? Except for the person who wants us to have empathy, above. However, we differ in our opinions in that I don’t believe it’s the governments job to take care of everyone. Otherwise, people will rely on & be at the mercey of all the government programs, which will cripple them. People feel better about themselves when they can provide for themselves. A better system would be one that enables people to provide for themselves, keeping government out of their way. I grew up understanding that if I wanted something I had to “work” for it and that included healthcare! The government should focus on the economy and jobs instead of finding ways to take money from businesses that provide jobs, so they can’t hire people! Our leaders idea of spreading the wealth is corrupt. By the way the next thing they are going to come after is your savings accounts and 401K’s! I spent all of my life saving a high percent of my hard earned dollars, so I could take care of myself in my golden years, never a thought of having the government take care of me…and I’m hearing the government is going to find a way to “steal” our savings and 401K’s from us too. But, I should have “empathy”. Really? American’s give big when they see someone in need, but they should have the option to be charitable, not be forced.  And, what is this in your recent ad about this new healthcare bill providing the average Joe the same cadillac health care plan as people in congress are provided? What koolaid are you drinking? The plan they just passed IS NOT the same “cadillac” plan as congress gets now and when they retire! Plus, doesn’t congress get their full pay & “special” increased benefits program when they retire? Check that out! In addition, the government has no business providing the IRS access to everyones medical and savings information! Medical information and decisions should be between a patient and their doctor! Can’t you people see, the more government controls the less freedom we have.

This organization is taking time to produce an erroneous add in Minn. About Michael Bachman voting against the power happy black man that’s in the white house & his health bill for his welfare/hardcore unemployed cronies & not the working class of Americans.  As stated in the propaganda add, she doesn’t want the rest of us (Americans) to have the same health care opportunities that she has, That’s correct, her health care opportunities are a lot better then what’s in this outrageous non American bill. I never voted for Michael Bachman & don’t agree with her on the majority of her screwy ideas but I will support her on voting against this so called health care reform. I’m retired, living on SS & a small pension. I struggle to pay for supplemental health insurance now, but with this so called health care reform bill I won’t be able to afford the new premiums just to pay for his welfare/hardcore unemployed cronies.
