Staying the course is admirable, however, what the benefit in continuing a war for all the wrong reasons. Young men and women are dying daily with the belief that we are protecting the United States of America. Partly true, but millions of dollars that could be used in at home is being wasted. My only child has completed tours of duty overseas. Most often than not those who serve come back mentally and physically broken. What are we doing to make thier lives better here? I met a man that could not get medical attention where he lives because the hospital could not met his need, he and his family had to travel to Texas at their expense to get what he needs. My question is what value we place on the lives of those “common individuals” after we return from the war? I think very little. To much press is given to those making money off of the pain of others.

Do you ‘stay the course’ when they have taken the wrong turn in while going to work. Do you ‘stay the course’ when you realize you have invested in a stock that is plummeting? Do you ‘stay the course’ when your spouse beats you bloody on a regular basis? Do you ‘stay the course’ with an employee when you find out they have been skimming from your till? Do you ‘stay the course’ when you realize the milk you are drinking is rancid? Do you ‘stay the course’ for the sake of the generalization of a concept like ‘staying the course’? Or does a sane person or country admit their mistakes and correct them? Of course if the course taken is to reap untold profits for your friends and business partners, then yes of course you ‘stay the course.’

i must say that going after a small fry like scott mclellan is really a big waste of time. how ‘bout someone more important like mcbush on a never ending, round the clock basis? he is the real enemy. mclellan is trying to tell us that he has a concience albeit a bit late.

I think this really is a perfect idea: donate the money to the victims of this ill-founded war.  It doesn’t make McClellan’s actions less reprehensible or less criminal, but it is a step towards atonement.

Scott McClellan is a rat that abandoned a sinking ship like so many of the other rats that were part of the Bush circle. Why? Because they learned from history. The only people that went to jail over Nixons whitewater were his cronies. Nixon resigned and got an immediate pardon from the incoming puppet Ford. So, this time those responsible suddenly get a conscience, write books and go on tour with their stories (BS) while Bush gets a pardon by the only people ( the Democrats) that could push for impeachment and criminal prosecution for deliberately misleading the U.S. citizens about IRAQ. That makes them guilty as well.
