Monkey on Rick's back

Look out, Bobby the Duck, there's a new beast on the campaign trail.
That's right. Grandpa Gorilla, a giant inflatable gorilla, will be following Sen. Rick Santorum around as he runs for re-election, according to a group angry with Santorum's stance on Social Security.
Washington, DC-based Americans United is sending Grandpa around to protest Santorum's support for privatizing Social Security.
"We don't want folks mucking around with Social Security," said spokesman Brad Woodhouse.
Santorum spokeswoman Virginia Davis said "this is very ironic. No one would dispute the fact that when you ask Bob Casey on Social Security, he has no answer."
Woodhouse said the 11-foot gorilla will be at the Middletown Grange Fair in Wrightstown, Pa. this week. He also said that as a non-profit organization they have not coordinated with Santorum's opponent Bob Casey Jr.
Casey's spokesman Larry Smar also said there had been no communication between the groups.
The Pennsylvania GOP has been sending a person in a duck suit to Casey events and claiming that he's "ducking the issues."
Woodhouse had not heard of Bobby the Duck.
"I didn't know that, but I'll put our gorilla up against his duck any time," he said.
