Send A Message To The AMA

The American Medical Association purports to represent the views of American doctors, but on Thursday the New York Times reported that the AMA would have its lobbyists fight a public option.

Doctors must take the Hippocratic Oath when they start to practice medicine. Standing against a strong public option that gives millions of Americans the option to purchase affordable health insurance is a reckless move by an organization that is supposed to be an advocate for doctors.

Since Thursday doctors from across the country have cancelled their membership to the AMA and are standing for a robust public option.

Help us send a message to the president of the AMA and Congress demanding that health care reform include a robust public option.
