Send Hate-Trafficking TD Ameritrade Founder Joe Ricketts a Message with Your Wallet: Pledge to Take Your Business Elsewhere
Hate and character assassination has no place in our political discourse. Unfortunately the founder of stock broking juggernaut TD Ameritrade Joe Ricketts does not agree.
Ricketts has considered putting $10 million behind an ugly smear campaign aimed at President Obama on Mitt Romney's behalf.
We're better than this. Mr. Ricketts and any other corporate suit thinking about pouring millions of dollars into divisive Super PAC attack ads must be held accountable. We have to say we will not permit our money be co-opted by firms whose founders, owners or major stakeholders promote division.
Therefore, today I am joining fellow Americans united against hate is sending a message with my wallet. I pledge to take my business elsewhere from TD Ameritrade until the company publicly calls on Mr. Ricketts to shut down the Super PAC he plans to use as a vehicle for spewing hate and divisiveness.
