Call 1-800-215-4913 to Speak Out Against the Escalation
According to a Pentagon report released last week, violence across Iraq has actually increased, despite sending nearly 30,000 more troops to Iraq. Since the escalation began, the number of civilian casualties rose, suicide attacks more than doubled, and the country is now averaging more than 1,000 attacks per week.

My name is [say your name], and I'm from [say your hometown and state], and I believe we must end the war in Iraq. The Pentagon now reports that President Bush's surge strategy isn't working. The violence has only gotten worse. Since the surge began, there have been more than 1,000 attacks a week, more than 100 civilians killed every day, and twice as many suicide attacks. Our children, our mothers, our fathers, our uncles, our cousins, and our friends are fighting in Iraq. We cannot ask them to continue to sacrifice their lives for a failed policy. It's time we fight for those who so bravely fight for us. Join your fellow Americans united for change. Visit Americans United for Change (dot) com and demand a new course in Iraq.
