Send A Message To The Heller And Ensign

Nevada leads the nation in home foreclosures. Congressman Dean Heller and Senator John Ensign had a chance to help. They could have supported common-sense legislation that would allow homeowners in bankruptcy to have their loans restructured so they could actually afford to pay them and keep their homes. Instead, they hung tight with their banker buddies and watched the doors to home slam on thousands of Nevadans.

Send Congressman Heller and Senator Ensign a letter and tell them you're angry with their vote against common sense legislation which would have allowed Nevada homeowners to stay in their homes.

Dear Congressman Heller & Senator Ensign,

Nevadans continue to suffer from the highest foreclosure rates in the country. So itÂ’s hard to understand why, when given the opportunity, you decided not to help. Families who are trying to hold onto their homes deserve the same protections as those who own vacation homes or yachts. They should have a chance to declare bankruptcy and modify their mortgages.

As a constituent I'm disappointed that you chose to side with the big banks and against NevadaÂ’s families on this issue. I urge you to reconsider and to do whatever is necessary to enact this important reform and help your constituents stay in our homes.
