Washington DC -- With the debate over Wall Street reform silenced in the Senate a second time in two days by Republican filibusters made possible in part by Sen. Scott Brown (R-MA), progressive issue-advocacy organization Americans United for Change launched a new TV ad in the Boston metropolitan area today suggesting the Senator might feel more comfortable riding in a limousine instead of his famous pick-up truck given his unapologetic votes to protect the Wall Street banks that poured money into his campaign coffers.

The Wall Street banks got their money’s worth with Senator Brown and bonus checks are no doubt in the mail. But the fact remains: the longer Senator Brown and his Republican colleagues delay Wall Street reform and refuse to even allow a debate, the greater the risk of another financial collapse that will cost more jobs on Main Street. With two-thirds of the American people demanding stricter regulations for the big banks that laid waste to our economy, Senator Brown has a very clear choice to make: either keep protecting his friends on Wall Street or start representing Main Streets in Massachusetts.”
